La Celeste

O'Higgins is a chilean football club based in Rancagua. The club's home is Parque Estadio El Teniente, that was used for the FIFA World Cup 1962 in Chile. The team was founded in 1945 and actually plays in the First Division. Also has participated three times in Copa Libertadores (1979, 1980, 1984), and the played in Copa Sudamericana 2012. Is the second team, outside of Santiago, with more international participations (the first team is Cobreloa).
Since it was established, the team has identified the colours: white, green, yellow and specially sky-blue. The club was born by the fusion of two teams: O'Higgins Braden and America de Rancagua.
Its classic opponent is Cobreloa, with whom dispute "the classic minning". Also O'Higgins dispute "the classic huaso", with Rangers de Talca.
Actually O'Higgins de Rancagua is first in the chilean championship and today the sky-blue team going to play with Cobreloa.
